On April 7, 2011 at approximately 8:31 p.m., Patrolman Robert Harms responded to the 200 block of West Lincoln Avenue for a report of attempted theft. The caller stated that on April 6, 2011 at approximately 9 p.m., he observed a male in a gray hooded sweatshirt in front of his vehicle parked on the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and West Lincoln Avenue as he came home from work.
He then heard something breaking and went outside and observed the male running northbound on Roosevelt Avenue towards West Colfax Avenue. Nothing was taken from the vehicle, however the headlight was removed from the housing unit. No damage was done and the light was returned to its proper position.
