Arrested Newark Man Had Outstanding Warrants

On December 31, 2010 at about 3:48 a.m., while on patrol in the area of West Westfield Avenue and Locust Street, patrolman Kevin Florczak observed a white Pontiac traveling northbound on Locust Street a high rate of speed.

A motor vehicle stop resulted in the driver, Jayson Perry, 20, of Newark, being placed under arrest for 2C:21-2.1C (providing false documents) and 2C:29-3B4 (hindering apprehension)

Perry was committed to Union County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 bail.

In addition, Perry had additional warrants totaling $6,989.00 out of various jurisdictions.
