Armed Robbery Reported At 7-Eleven On Westfield Avenue

This morning, at Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) officers responded to the 7-Eleven convenience store located on West Westfield Avenue on a report of an armed robbery.

According to police, a tall thin male entered the store while wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a shiny black jacket over it, a dark-colored ski mask covering his mouth & nose, and white gloves on his hands.

The perpetrator brandished and pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the two clerks who were working in the store. He demanded all the money from the register and – after taking the money – fled on foot toward a nearby street. A four-door white sedan was observed traveling north bound on Valley Road following the robbery.

An undisclosed amount of cash was reported to be have been taken from the store. No one was injured in this incident.
