Armed Robbery & Aggravated Assault At Citgo Gas Station (Video)

The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) is investigating an armed robbery of the Citgo gas station at 452 East Westfield Avenue that occurred Sunday night, August 19, 2012, at around 9:18 p.m.

Two (2) suspects approached the station on foot then attacked a 65-year-old attendant as he returned to the office. They threatened the victim, then struck him in the head with a handgun several times as they searched his pockets. The suspects stole a small amount of cash before running to an awaiting vehicle.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, 180 lbs., 5’9″ – 6′ tall, wearing long black shorts with a white stripe and black sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 18-23 years of age, 150 lbs., white shirt hoodie, white shorts, and white sneakers.

Both fled on foot to an awaiting vehicle.
