At the end of tonight’s Municipal Land Use Board (MLUB) meeting, board chairman Loren Harms notified the members that an application hearing is scheduled next month for a proposed storage facility.
The as-yet-unnamed applicant is looking to use the property on the eastbound side of West Westfield Avenue across the street from The Castle. Currently, the lot next to the car wash is used for additional parking from the banquet hall across the street.
It was disclosed that there is a deed restriction on the property. A deed restriction, also sometimes known as a ‘restrictive covenant’ limits how a property can be used and what can be built on it.
No other details were provided.
The next scheduled MLUB meeting is set for Monday, August 13th, in council chambers of borough hall. The meeting has a 7 .m. start time and is located at 110 East Westfield Avenue.
