Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) is investigating a report of a burglary to an apartment in a building on the 500 block of Chestnut Street on Wednesday morning, September 5th.
The caller stated the suspect entered an apartment after kicking open its door. The caller described the suspect as a 35-40 year old black male, 5’9, 190 lbs., with short hair, wearing a dark shirt with a white towel draped over his shoulder.
A search of the surrounding area did not reveal any suspects.
Police believe that the suspect gained entry to the building after a resident remotely unlocked the door for him. This suspect may be the same individual responsible for two (2) other apartment burglaries within the Borough over the last six months.
If anyone has any information regarding the crime, please contact RPPD Detective Richard Cocca at (908) 245-2300.
