Annual Remembrance To Be Held September 11th

Roselle Park will having its annual Remembrance Service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Kelly-Kaulfers Memorial Park.

The ceremony will also serve to “Honor and Remember” the victims and heroes on this 13th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

September 11th, also known as Patriot Day, is a National Day of Service and Remembrance. By presidential decree, the American flag is to be flown at half-staff at all American federal buildings. Flags are also encouraged to be displayed on individual American homes on that day. A moment of silence is observed to correspond with the attacks, beginning at 8:46 A.M. (Eastern Daylight Time). It is also recognized as a day of volunteer service throughout the country.
