All Three Mayoral Candidates Interviewing This Month

As of last night, all three mayoral candidates have provided dates for separate one-on-one conversations with Roselle Park News to offer details on their platforms to the residents of Roselle Park. All interviews will be held on three separate days in September.

Mayor Carl Hokanson and Councilman Will Fahoury in August arranged on dates this month to talk about their candidacy and yesterday, candidate Joseph Signorello III arranged a date in the middle of the month for his conversation.

“I have a great deal of respect for local journalism, and the men and women behind Roselle Park News,” stated Mr. Signorello, “Through discussions with Roselle Park News, and newly agreed terms for an interview, I feel confident that this will be a fair and neutral exchange. I look forward to fully articulating my views in this one-on-one interview and through a variety of mediums this fall.”

The interview will be conducted by contributing editor and Roselle Park resident Jenny Lichtenwalner. Mrs. Lichtenwalner was a staff researcher at the St. Petersburg Times and managing editor of the Caellian, the official newspaper of Douglass College at Rutgers University.

The newspaper has accommodated such requests in the past, most notably with Carl Hokanson when he ran for mayor in 2010.

Roselle Park News is communicating with the four remaining candidates for Second Ward and Fifth Ward to set a date for their interviews.

All conversations will be published at the start of October so that the public can listen and become more informed with the philosophies and plans of those wanting to represent the residents of Roselle Park.
