Republican Candidate for the 5th Ward Thos Shipley will be hosting a free outdoor movie night on Friday, September 4th, at 6 p.m. at Msgr. Loreti Park.
The outdoor event will have Roselle Park resident and actor Zachary Infante making a special appearance to coincide with the evening’s film, “School Of Rock”. Zachary made his motion picture debut as ‘Gordon’ in the 2003 comedy that starred Jack Black, Joan Cusack, and Miranda Cosgrove.
Friday night’s event is being promoted as the first in a “Roselle Park In The Movies” series that will highlight talent from the borough. Mr. Shipley commented, “Roselle Park is filled with talented people. I pledge to promote positive activities that bring people together and celebrate the gifts of those in our community.”
Zachary Infante – who recently appeared on Fox series “Gotham” – just completed performances in the musical “The Calico Buffalo” at the New York Musical Theatre Festival this past summer. His notable body of work includes “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (directed by Julie Taymor), Matthew Lopez’s “Somewhere”, “Tamburlaine The Great”, and “Peter Pan” as well as the Amazon series “Alpha House”. The evening will include family-friendly activities before the movie. There will also be free popcorn and soft drinks will be available.

Msgr. Loreti Park is located on Faitoute Avenue across the street from Aldene Park.
