The Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library is inviting patrons to join them in knitting or crocheting Chemo Hats during October in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
49½ Shades Of Pink will allow residents to sit and create at a table in the library at their convenience by themselves or with friends to knit/crochet hats to be distributed to those going through chemotherapy. Patrons can also choose to bring a pattern home to create at their leisure.
Yarns and patterns will be supplied by participants can bring their own.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease and preventive measures that can be taken to detect the disease in both women and men.
Those who take part are asked to return their hats to the library by Saturday, October 31st.
