On July 22, 2011 at approximately 9:18 p.m., Sgt. David Pitts conducted a property check in the area of the Woodside Gardens apartment complex. During that check, he observed that a 2-door black vehicle was parked and occupied in the main parking lot of the complex. The vehicle was parked in an isolated area of the parking lot with its engine running and no lights on. Upon approaching the vehicle, he observed it was occupied by four (4) juveniles, three (3) 17-year-old males and one (1) 16-year-old female. An investigation led to the discovery of one (1) hand-rolled cigar containing suspected marijuana and two (2) metal grinders commonly used to process marijuana. A male passenger and the female passenger were placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana) and 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia) and released to a parent pending a family court hearing.
