2nd Annual Greg Powers Corn Hole Tournament On Oct. 13

Friends and neighbors can celebrate the life of Greg Powers and help continue on his spirit of giving at the second annual Greg powers Corn Hole Tournament on Saturday, October 13th at Elks Lodge #1583. The event will pay tribute to Greg by collecting for a scholarship fund in his honor that will go to a Roselle Park High School (RPHS) senior.

Greg passed away on May 26th of last year after succumbing in his fight against cancer. He was a lifelong resident of Roselle Park, a volunteer firefighter with the Roselle Park Fire Department for 30 years, and a Roselle Park Department of Public Works (DPW) employee for over two decades. He remains a son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend.

The event will kick off at 1 o’clock in the afternoon with the corn hole tournament starting at 2 p.m.

The tournament is $35 per adult and $15 per child. This will include food, beer, soft drinks for children, and a special-made Greg Powers t-shirt. There will be a $25 entry fee per team for the Double Elimination Corn Hole Tournament.

Elks Lodge #1583 is located at 281 Chestnut Street in Union Township.
