2014 General Election Breakdown

In total 16 write-in votes were cast with 13 of them being in the mayoral election. The other three were for council-at-large.

In total, under 3,000 people for the 2014 general municipal election and less than 1,000 voting for the Board Of Education (BOE).

Carl Hokanson won 7 out of the 10 districts with Michael Yakubov winning in Ward 3-District 2 and his ward, the 5th, by almost a 2-to-1 margin.

Charlene Storey won 6 out to the 10 districts, losing in Ward 3-District 2 as well as Ward 4-District 1. Richard Templeton won the 5th Ward entirely.

Eugene Meola won both districts in the First Ward.

The election breakdowns showed that the 2nd Ward was crucial for a victory in both the mayoral as well as council-at-large election and that both Michael Yakubov and Richard Templeton had strongholds in the 5th Ward, Mr. Yakubov’s current ward.
