On January 12, 2011 at about 10 a.m., patrolman Kevin Florczak responded to Chestnut Street and East Grant Avenue (Michael Mauri Park) on a report of burglary to a vehicle.
The victim stated he parked his vehicle in the parking lot on January 11, 2011 at about 10:15 p.m. Upon his return to the vehicle on January 12, 2011 at 10 a.m., he observed damage to the driver’s door handle.
Police observed damage to the lock which appeared to be an unknown object was forced into the lock in attempt to open the door. Actor(s) were not able to gain entry to the vehicle.
At approximately 12:36 p.m., patrolman Richard Hernandez responded to Michael Mauri Park on a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim stated he observed the front passenger window on his vehicle had been shattered. He further noticed a black folding knife on the driver’s seat.
Detective Richard Cocca is investigating this case. It is unknown if anything of value was missing from the vehicle.
