16-Year-Old Struck By Car On Locust Street

On Thursday, July 24th, Roselle Park Police responded to the 300 block of Locust Street at approximately 9:16 p.m. following the report of an vehicle-pedestrian accident. The victim, a 16-year-old Roselle Park resident, was struck by a vehicle while crossing Locust Street on his bicycle.

He was taken to University Hospital and is said to be in stable condition after suffering a broken leg and lacerations to his head.

The 80-year-old driver from Elizabeth was not charged in the accident. Locust Street was closed temporarily and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should contact the Roselle Park Police Department at (908) 245-2300.
