The municipality is looking to auction close to 100 items which includes cars, computer parts, printers, radios, cassettes, bicycles, video games – to name a few – this month of in June. Items that are no longer used by the municipality as well as items seized during arrests will be sold at a public auction either on May 17th or June 14th, according to Borough Clerk Doreen Cali during the May 1st Mayor & Council meeting. The second date is a rain date since the items will be auctioned outside in the parking lot behind Borough Hall. Previously, such auctions have started at 11 a.m. with a preview an hour beforehand.
All items are auctioned of ‘as is’ and payment must be made at the auction. No checks or credit card payments will be accepted. It is recommended and requested that people interested in taking part should park either along Westfield Avenue or in Parking Lot ‘B’, which is the smaller parking lot in front of the police station.
