Trio Charged With CDS Charges

On July 12th, Detective Hussam Assad observed the occupants of a parked vehicle on East Colfax Avenue at Hemlock Street acting suspiciously and stopped to investigate. He found an unregistered vehicle from Virginia occupied by Tiannah Womack, 21 of Virginia Beach, VA, Jules Stewart, 20 of Fredricksburg, VA and Malika Stewart of Plainfield, NJ.

Jules Stewart was found to be in possession of a knife and he was charged with possession of a weapon and loitering to obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS). He was lodged into the Union County Jail on $1,500 bail.

Malika Stewart was found to have an outstanding warrant from Plainfield in amount of $500 and was also charged with Loitering to obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance. She was lodged into the Union County Jail on $1,000 bail.

Womack was charged with possessing a a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute after she was found holding 20 Oxycodone tablets. She also possessed over $1,000 cash and drug paraphernalia. She was lodged into the Union County Jail on $35,000 bail.
