May 4, 2016

At approximately 1:07 a.m., Patrolman Gregory Polakoski was flagged down by a male on West Westfield Avenue. The individual stated that he was stranded by a local cab company and needed to get back to Westfield. In speaking with the cab company, they advised that they refused the male service because, ‘he had weed on him’. This was discovered to be true according to police and the pedestrian identified as Matthew G. Sosnowski, age 21 from Westfield, was in possession of suspected marijuana and arrested for the same. He was charged with possession of c.d.s. and was later released with a summons to appear in Roselle Park Municipal Court at a later date.

Later that day at approximately 12:19 p.m., Patrolman Harold Breuninger conducted a motor vehicle stop on Faitoute Avenue on a 2000 Subaru for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Jesse D. Argenziano, age 22 from Linden, was in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The passenger of the vehicle, Jamir D. Bratton, age 23 also from Linden, was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Linden Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Both were arrested and transported to Roselle Park Police Headquarters where they were processed. Mr. Argenziano was charged with possession of c.d.s. and drug paraphernalia and released on a summons with a future court date. Mr. Bratton could not post bail and turned over to Linden Police. Both individuals were also issued traffic summonses.

May 5, 2016

At approximately 2:59 a.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on West Westfield Avenue on a 2005 Acura for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Ana C. Matamoros, age 22 from Elizabeth, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and drug paraphernalia. She was released with a court date. Two motor vehicle summonses were also issued.

At approximately 10:58 p.m. that same day, Patrolman William Hannon conducted another motor vehicle stop on West Grant Avenue on a 2002 Toyota for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Ramon J. Mendez, age 24 from Roselle Park, and passenger, Todd A. Springer Jr., age 22 from Roselle, were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both were arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Mendez and Mr. Springer Jr. were released on a summons with a court date along with a motor vehicle summons.

May 9, 2016

At approximately 12:49 p.m., Patrolman Harold Breuninger conducted a pedestrian stop on West Westfield Avenue on a male for crossing against the traffic light on the busy highway. The pedestrian identified as Rick McMurrian, age 51 from Plainfield, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and drug paraphernalia. He was issued a summons and released with a court date. A summons for jaywalking was also issued.

May 10, 2016

At approximately 12:51 p.m., Patrolman Harold Breuninger conducted a pedestrian stop of a male discovered walking on the rail road tracks behind 200 West Webster Avenue. The individual was identified as Brian H. Darling from Cranford. He was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing. He was released on a summons with a court date.
