February 4, 2016

At approximately 2:47 p.m., Detectives John Deegan and James Kompany conducted a pedestrian stop on a suspicious male on Chestnut Street. The pedestrian, Luis Rodriguez-Peralta, age 31 from Carteret, was found to be in possession of a suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with resisting arrest and obstruction as he did not comply and reportedly resisted officers during the arrest. Mr. Rodriguez-Peralta was ultimately released on a summons with a future court date.

February 5, 2016

At approximately 12:05 a.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1999 Oldsmobile for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Kewan Eley, age 19 from Newark, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Eley was released on a summons with a future court date.

February 8, 2016

At approximately 12:02 a.m., Patrolman Joseph DeQuarto conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2002 Toyota for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Anthony F. Guzman, age 27 from Elmwood Park, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Guzman was released on a summons with a future court date.
