At 7:05 p.m., Roselle Park Police responded to a dispute on the 100 block of Chestnut Street. During the investigation, Patrolman Angelo Marino arrested Luis Colon, 28, of Bloomfield, NJ for possessing a weapon – an open folding knife. Marino also arrested Joseph Ochoa, 29, of Roselle Park for harassment and contempt of court.
December 27, 2013
Theodore Green, 53, of Linden, NJ was arrested by Patrolman Dean Khallaf at police headquarters on warrants from Roselle Park Municipal Court totaling $3,735. Green was lodged in Union County Jail in lieu of bail.
December 28, 2013
At 2:29 a.m., Yefrey Gonzales, 24, of Roselle, NJ was arrested by Patrolman Khallaf during a traffic stop on Locust Street. Gonzales was to have $3,115 warrants from the Union County Sheriff’s Department.
At 4:04 p.m., John Provino, 39, of Roselle Park was arrested by Patrolman Mitchell White during a stop on Elm Street. Police were called to check on a suspicious vehicle and reportedly found Provino in possession of CDS, namely suspected marijuana and prescription pills. Provino was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 5:49 p.m., Leavetric Stewart, 23, of Plainfield, NJ was arrested during a traffic crash investigation on warrants from Scotch Plains, NJ. Stewart was released after posting $110 bail.
At 8 p.m., James Talbot, 52, of Roselle Park was arrested by Patrolman Khallaf for DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) during a traffic stop on Chestnut Street. Talbot also had warrants totaling $4,000 from Long Branch, Roselle Park, and Madison municipal courts.
