License Plate Violation Leads To CDS Arrest thumbnail

On November 1, 2010 at approximately 9:32 p.m., Patrolman Richard Gaylord observed a white Saturn with its license plate obscured. A motor vehicle stop was initiated on Magie Avenue.

An investigation led to the discovery of one (1) small Ziplock bag containing suspected marijuana in the possession of the front seat passenger, identified as Jason Posso, age 21, of Elizabeth, NJ.

Posso was arrested and charged with 2C:35-10(a)4 (Possession of marijuana) and 39:36-2 (Possession of drug paraphernalia). The driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for 39:3-33 (unclear plates).

Posso was released ROR (Released on Own Recognizance) pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of November 10, 2010.
