Lamps Violation Leads To Arrest For Linden Woman thumbnail

On December 19, 2010 at approximately 11:12 p.m. while on patrol in the area of East Westfield Avenue and Walnut Street, Patrolman Richard Gaylord observed a black Honda Civic traveling eastbound on East Westfield Avenue in violation of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Statute 39:3-66 (maintenance of lamps). A motor vehicle stop was initiated on Chestnut Street at West 2nd Avenue in the borough of Roselle.

An investigation led to the discovery of a marijuana cigarette in the door handle of the vehicle.

The driver, CarrieAnne Zielinski, age 24 of linden, NJ was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of CDS); 39:4-49.1 (CDS in a motor vehicle); 39:3-66 (maintenance of lamps); and 39:3-75 (improper safety glass). Zielinski was released with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of January 6, 2011.
