Not to worry, it did not take up until this month to have Roselle Park welcome its newest naturalized resident of 2017. This is just the month that the governing body officially recognized Baby Ava Victoria for being this year’s first baby.

Born on January 9th at 10:41 in the morning, the 7-pound 10-ounce baby girl was born to Kristen and Robert.

Mother, father, and the four-month-old Roselle Park resident were in attendance to receive their Certificate of Recognition. In addition to the proclamation, the family was presented with a gift basket for Baby Ava donated by residents and businesses.

“We’d just like to say thank you to everyone for the donations. We appreciated it,” said Kristen Lance, Ava’s mother.

Ava is the second newborn recognized by the borough. Last year, Heidi Rhodes was 2016’s Firstborn of Roselle Park, born on January 13th.
