As is the annual custom, the governing body last night voted to approve the covering up of parking meters in the downtown business area for the Christmas holiday season. The monthlong shopping incentive starts today and goes through the new year till January 5th. The downtown area runs along Westfield Avenue from Walnut Street to Locust Street and on Chestnut Street from Grant Avenue to Westfield Avenue.
